14 August 2008 - BIM 3.8 released
Today a new version of BIM came to light. The improvements include version information updating capabilities (this time with custom methods so it will work on all operating systems), custom icon choosing for the resulting installer and some minor bug fixes. Also a new German translation has been added in the package, courtesy of FreeTime Studio.Don't forget to uninstall any older BIM versions before installing this one.

09 August 2008 - New version of MPxConverter releasedA new version of MPxConverter has been released today. This version brings some small usability-related changes. New features include an "estimated time of arrival" counter that will tell you how much time is left until a video will be converted. The video conversion settings are now saved so you don't have to enter them every time you add a new video and in this version you can select multiple video files at the same time when you add them.
Please contact me if you find any problem.

22 July 2008 - BIM 3.7 is now available
A new version of BIM was released today, bringing many improvements over the old one (the list of changes is huge). Version 3.7 should now be much more stable as the testing phase was extensive (but that doesn't mean it's perfect though).
The only problem is that the translations are now changed due to the new language management system and I need your help to update the old files. If you want to participate, you can find the archives on BIM's page.
Don't forget to uninstall the older versions before installing this one to avoid any problems. Also if you find any bugs please send an e-mail to support with the details.

15 July 2008 - Hotfix for Bytessence PassKeeper
A hotfix for BPK is not available, fixing a problem that was preventing the program to open a correctly save container with the correct password. This problem existed because of a miscalculation in the checksum generator, but it should be OK now. Let me know if you have any problems with it.
Please download the new version if you are using this program.
22 June 2008 - MPxConverter 1.0 released
MPxConverter reaches version 1.0 today. This is just a bugfix release, no new features were added, except the capability of decoding MP4 video files (added libFAAD support in the built-in FFmpeg executable so AAC streams can be decoded without problems). If you find any bugs please send an e-mail to support. Bytessence InstallMaker will be updated soon too, new fixes and features are on the way.

04 June 2008 - MPxConverter 0.9 is out
A new version of MPxConverter has been released today. I'm sorry it took so long, but I don't have that much free time lately. In v0.9 have removed RockChip/Anyka player support because there is no easy way of creating an universal converter for them. Depending on the chipset and the firmware, these players aren't compatible with each other, rendering my efforts to create an universal conversion tool useless. Even RockChip seems to have abandoned this quest and now offers single-profile converters.

08 May 2008 - BUG updated
A new version of BUG is now available, alowing you to use custom fonts. Even if I used high-quality font rendering procedures inside, the userbars may not look as good as the ones that use the original font. To make the text more readable, you can add more transparency to the scanlines pattern.

01 May 2008 - New freeware program released
Ever wanted to create good looking userbars in seconds without using big programs? If yes it is now possible to accomplish this with a small program, Bytessence UserbarGenerator. Userbars are the trend of the moment and are used in emails, forums and social networking websites to express yourself in an original manner. Note that this is the first release, so it may contain bugs/errors inside. Please report anything unusual.
Next, I'll try to fix up MPxConverter a bit, because it seems that the videos converted with it won't work in RockChip players (different video sample size). A solution would be to integrate MEncoder in the program, but it would get pretty big. I'll have a look at the options and keep you updated.
28 April 2008 - hotfix for MPxConverter
A hotfix for MPxConverter is now online. This should fix the problem with FFMpeg asking for "xvidcore.dll". In the old build, FFMpeg was expecting XViD as a dynamic link library, but now it is included as a static one. Also, the first translation, Italian was added in the package (courtesy of Claudio Ghini).
Don't hesitate to send me an e-mail if you stumble across a bug.
